School sites coordinate and contract translator and interpreter services for school-specific needs, events, meetings, publications, etc. The CDLS team assists APS staff members in locating services and provides guidance on the use of translators and interpreters. For questions, please feel free to contact the CDLS team.

English <> Spanish

School sites coordinate and contract translator and interpreter services for school-specific needs, events, meetings, publications, etc. We recommend using district-trained and assessed District Approved Interpreters (DAIs) for Spanish<>English interpretation needs. The English Language Acquisition Department manages the cohort of District Approved Interpreters (Spanish<>English).

Please visit the District Approved Interpreters page for a complete, updated listing of approved Spanish<>English school interpreters.

English <> Languages other than Spanish

To access interpreters and translators for languages other than Spanish, please visit the Interpretation Agencies page for a current listing of agencies.

Sign Language Interpretation

The Exceptional Student Services Department maintains a list of local American Sign Language interpreters and can assist in identifying and scheduling related services. District offices and schools compensate the ASL interpreters. For details or to access ASL interpretation services, please contact the ESS office at 303-340-0510 or extension 28321.
